Press Release

The CLSA launches the Participant Advisory Group

Participant Advisors help us make the study better for everyone who takes part. They share feedback, talk about their experiences, and give useful advice on many parts of the study. Their ideas help us make sure our processes, materials, and tools are easy to understand, accessible, and helpful.

What Participant Advisors Do

Participant Advisors are asked to give feedback on certain parts of the study.

In the past, Participant Advisors have helped:

  • Make sure instructions are clear and easy to understand
  • Tell us how useful and easy the website is to use
  • Give their opinion on different devices and tools used in the study
  • Design participant messages and materials

We try to match each feedback request with the Advisor’s interests, experience, and preferences.

Time Commitment

Participant Advisors are usually invited once or twice a year to share feedback. Taking part is always your choice.

Being a Participant Advisor does not change your role in the study. You will still be contacted every three years for your regular interview.

How We Use Your Feedback

Your ideas help improve:

  • Materials for participants
  • Study communication and outreach
  • How we collect information
  • The tools and questions we use
  • The overall experience of being in the study

Your advice helps us make sure everything is clear, respectful, and considers participants’ needs.
