Dr. Basma Ahmed is a Clinical Biochemist with a diverse academic and professional background. She earned her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from McMaster University, a Master’s in Physiology from Université de Montréal and a Medical Doctorate from Egypt, and. She also completed Clinical Biochemistry Fellowship training at McMaster University and worked as a Clinical Biochemist at Dynacare Laboratories. Dr. Ahmed is not new to the CLSA study — she previously supported the BBC as a postdoctoral fellow and is excited to re-engage with the work at the BBC. Outside of her professional life, she is a proud single parent of three kids and values balancing her career with family life.
