Project Summary

Our research aims to protect people’s brains from dementia, a condition that causes memory loss and affects daily life. Dementia is a serious worldwide health problem that leads to many deaths and makes it difficult for people to live independently. Studies have found that several common health issues, such as heart disease, high blood pressure, and problems with blood sugar and fats, are related to dementia. Researchers have also discovered that changes in tiny parts of our body may affect how well our brain works. However, we still don’t fully understand how all these factors work together to influence dementia risk. Our study will look at how different aspects of our health, including common illnesses and changes in our body, combine to affect the chances of developing dementia. By understanding how dementia develops, we hope to create personalized plans to lower the risk for everyone. This research could lead to better overall health and well-being for people of all ages.
