WooJin Kim

Dr. WooJin Kim is a dual-trained neurologist and palliative care physician. He is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa and an Investigator with the Bruyère Research Institute. He completed his MD and PhD at McGill University, followed by residency training in Adult Neurology and fellowship training in Palliative Medicine at the University of Ottawa.
Dr. Kim’s clinical and research work focuses on neuro-palliative care, an emerging field at the intersection of neurology and palliative medicine that aims to improve quality of life for individuals living with serious neurological illness. He is a recognized leader in this area, with a focus on developing integrated care models for patients with neurodegenerative conditions, including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and multiple sclerosis.
