Karine Choquet

Dr. Karine Choquet completed her PhD in Human Genetics at McGill University, where she studied the genetic and molecular causes of rare neurological diseases. She then pursued a post-doctoral fellowship in Genetics at Harvard University, where she specialized in RNA biology, transcriptomics and bioinformatics. Since July 2023, she has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Functional Genomics at Université de Sherbrooke and a Researcher at the Research Center on Aging (CIUSSS de l’Estrie-CHUS). Dr. Choquet’s research program seeks to better understand mechanisms of RNA maturation and how pre-mRNA splicing defects contribute to aging and to muscular and neurological diseases.
