CLSA Team
Principal Investigators
The CLSA’s principal investigators provide overall scientific leadership and share primary responsibility for oversight of all CLSA activities. Dr. Parminder Raina of McMaster University is the lead principal investigator, Dr. Susan Kirkland of Dalhousie University and Dr. Christina Wolfson of McGill University are principal investigators and Dr. Lauren Griffith and Dr. Cynthia Balion of McMaster University are co-principal investigators.
Local Site Principal Investigators
The CLSA's core research team is a dynamic and highly productive group of leaders in the field of aging affiliated with leading universities and research institutes. The CLSA's local site principal investigators are responsible for leading the investigations and operations at each of the CLSA's sites across Canada.
Associate Scientific Director
Dr. Andrew Costa is the CLSA associate scientific director. He serves on the CLSA Executive Committee, where he helps to oversee and provide advice on the science and supporting infrastructure of the CLSA.
CLSA Management
A team of managers provides oversight and leadership to the CLSA's various activities in operations, information technologies and communications across Canada.
CLSA Staff
The CLSA has more than 250 employees across Canada working together to support the ongoing success of the CLSA as a national research platform for advancing aging research in Canada and worldwide. Their work is supported by the operations, IT and support staff at the National Coordinating Centre (NCC).
