As the national manager of the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging, Ine Wauben works closely with the principal and local investigators, advisory groups, scientists and public partners across Canada to implement the CLSA protocol and build partnerships to support the study’s ongoing success. Prior to joining the CLSA in September 2011, Dr. Wauben worked as Business Development Manager, Life Sciences, at McMaster University. She has also held senior positions at Adiga Life Sciences Inc. and the Scientific Research & Experimental Development Program of the Canada Revenue Agency. Dr. Wauben holds a PhD in medical sciences from McMaster University.

Harriet Sauve, Hon. B.Sc.

Harriet Sauve joined the CLSA in November 2011 as the national operations manager. In her role, she is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the National Coordinating Centre and overseeing the implementation of the CLSA protocol at the Data Collection Sites and Computer-Assisted Telephone Interview (CATI) sites across Canada. She holds an honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Western Ontario and she is a skilled operations manager with over 15 years experience in the pharmaceutical and research industry.  Prior to joining the CLSA, she served as manager, clinical operations, at Cetero Research.

Ron Harwood

Ron is the CLSA IT projects manager with a background that includes web application development, open source technology consulting, systems and infrastructure engineering, systems administration, and project management. He has been involved with research information technology support at McMaster since 2002. Other organizations Ron has worked with include Atomic Energy Canada Ltd., Chapters-Indigo, Lulu.com, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Canadian Football league. 
 

Laura Thompson

As communications officer, Laura Thompson is responsible for developing, managing and implementing the national communications strategy for the CLSA. She holds a B.Sc. from the University of Toronto and studied journalism at Humber College and the University of Iowa. Prior to joining the CLSA, Laura worked as a public relations editor in the Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University. She has also held reporting and editing positions at several newspapers, including the Guelph Mercury, Hamilton Spectator and Waterloo Region Record.
 

Kashif Siraj

Kashif Siraj joined the CLSA in August 2011 as the CFI Project Manager. He is responsible for overseeing the funding and construction of research space to operationalize the CLSA on a national level.  A certified Project Management Professional (PMP), he holds a M.Sc. in Data Communication Systems from Brunel University in England and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the National University of Science and Technology in Pakistan. Prior to joining the CLSA, Kashif worked in the U.K. as a technical manager/analyst. He also held teaching, consultancy and research management positions in Pakistan.
