Lauren Griffith is an assistant professor in the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at McMaster University. She holds a PhD in epidemiology from the University of Toronto and a master’s degree in biostatistics from the University of Michigan. Her research interests include physical functioning, injury and aging as well as the harmonization of longitudinal data. Since joining the CLSA in November 2007, Dr. Griffith has worked on the analysis and reporting of several feasibility studies and the development of the CLSA protocol. In 2011, she served as interim national manager of the CLSA.
Mark Oremus, PhD

Mark Oremus is an assistant professor in the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at McMaster University. He is also the co-associate director of the McMaster University Evidence-based Practice Center (MU-EPC) and holds the McLaughlin Foundation Professorship in Population and Public Health. His research interests include aging, dementia, caregiving, health economics, as well as public policy and population health. Dr. Oremus joined the CLSA as interim national program manager in 2007 and became associate scientific director in 2009. His CLSA focus is on validating disease ascertainment algorithms, establishing quality control procedures for data collection and designing and conducting the tracking and comprehensive pilot studies.
